Have you ever looked around the British Airways Executive Club website looking for the peak / off-peak calendar? It’s in there somewhere, but when you find it you will only be shown 2 months at a time. Considering how important this calendar is to the pricing of flight rewards, you’d think it would be easier to find.

In order to celebrate the addition of Aer Lingus to the Avios family, here are the 2017 peak and off-peak calendars for the three major Avios airlines:

British Airways

ba-peak-2017

Iberia

ib-peak-2017

Aer Lingus

lingus-peak-2017

Don’t forget that each airline sets its peak dates based on its local market. So Iberia really just doesn’t care about half-term in the UK, but they are rather interested in charging more Avios for rewards during Spanish bank holiday weekends. So choose your airline accordingly, if you have any flexibility in the matter…

Ironically, though beneficially, while IB and Aer Lingus do, BA doesn’t treat Scottish summer school holidays as peak either. Not sure about N.I. & Wales. Still, long may this be the case from London Airways ………..?

The chart is what is published for 2017, so I doubt it will “change”. The only change that really pops out at me is that BA originally promised that all Tuesdays and Wednesday would be off-peak, but that’s gone away…
