I know tier points for cheap BA economy flights are very, very low, so you either have to be flying an insane amount or try and get a couple business flights in too. For those that are 'budget' travellers, are you bothered by working your way through the status tiers? I like the idea of some of the additional perks but really I have an AMEX that lets me use a fair amount of lounges if I need them. Generally I just fly whoever is the cheapest, although BA's more generous hand luggage limit is sometimes quite persuasive in picking a more expensive flight. I've tried to look at some business flights at shorter distances (around Iceland/Turkey etc) but prices seem to be a bit too high to justify them just for holidays and 'points runs'. Thanks
It is a very good question, I would love to read the comments of all the users who work there, to see what they think
