Up To 250 Bonus Avios Each Time You Fill Up At Shell

You are probably aware that via the free to join Shell Drivers Club, you can currently earn Avios on your fuel spend at Shell. You get 1 Shell Drivers Club point for every litre of fuel you buy (or 2 points for the “Shell V-Power Nitro+” stuff), which can then be converted to Avios at a rate of 10 Avios for 20 Drivers Club points.

Until 4 January 2017, you can also earn an easy bonus. Simply ensure that you land on an exact “pound amount” (or within two pence of it), and you will get the following bonus, depending on the spend in question:

At the top end, 500 points for the £80+ spend is 250 Avios, while a £30 spend will net you 50 points so 25 Avios. Not huge bonuses, but bear in mind that i) you will also earn Avios on the spend anyway, and ii) you can get the bonus each and every time you fill up.

Will I be able to rise to the challenge?

Now forgive me if I am being over-confident here, but it’s pretty easy to land on an exact amount when you’re paying for petrol, and the fact you’re given 2 pence worth of grace means you really have no excuse if you don’t hit this bonus.
