Buy British Airways Avios for Less Than 1p Each!

French discount site Vent-Privee is back with another good British Airways Avios sale – offering the opportunity to stock up for just under 1p (1.1 euro cents) per Avios.

You can purchase up to a maximum of 100,000 Avios in total, by selecting multiples of the following blocks:

  • 2,000 Avios for 21 euros (1.1 cents each)
  • 4,000 Avios for 59 euros (1.5 cents each)
  • 9,000 Avios for 109 euros (1.2 cents each)
  • 20,000 Avios for 229 euros (1.1 cents each)
  • 35,000 Avios for 399 euros (1.1 cents each)

How to buy

The offer is accessible through the French portal only, therefore you will need to sign up and create a free account (if you haven’t already) on there. This requires a French postcode, which a quick google should solve (use your favourite hotel there maybe!). Alternatively, you can login just using your Facebook account.

Once signed up, just follow this link here.

Unless you happen to have decent knowledge of French (I don’t!), I’d recommend using Google Translate.

When you complete your purchase (don’t forget to use a card with 0% FX fees if you can), you should see your voucher code in the ‘My Orders’ section of your Vent-Privee account by 15th June 2018. Just follow the link there, insert your British Airways Executive Club number and the voucher code, and you should receive the Avios within 5 working days.

Note that you need to redeem your voucher code by 1st July 2018!

Conclusion

This isn’t the cheapest offer to purchase Avios we’ve seen, but it could be a decent way to top up an account for a high value redemption relatively quickly and easily. As ever, make sure you crunch the numbers and decide if it’s worth it for you!

I completed the sign-up process on the French website, but now I keep being redirected to the UK homepage. Any ideas?

Not to worry – I deleted all the Vente Privée cookies which sorted the redirect. I also had to set-up a new account using a new email address. Apparently you cannot use the same email address across different VP websites
