Club Carlson, the hotel chain behind brands like Radisson Blu and Park Inn, have just launched their 2017 Q1 (Winter/Spring) promotion. It offers effectively 5000 bonus points per night, but with an annoying catch!

The catch is that you need to get your crystal ball out, and guess how many nights you’ll be doing between now and the 31st of March. Get it wrong, and you could get nothing…

To sign up for the promotion, you need to head to https://www.clubcarlson.com/secure/offers/12417684 – make sure you do it before any stays! Once there, you’ll be presented with these options to pick between

Club Carlson Earn Bigger Rewards

  • Stay 1 night, earn 5,000 bonus Gold Points
  • Stay 2 nights, earn 10,000 bonus Gold Points
  • Stay 4 nights, earn 20,000 bonus Gold Points
  • Stay 8 nights, earn 50,000 bonus Gold Points
  • Stay 20 or more nights, earn 100,000 bonus Gold Points

That is effectively 5000 points per night, but with a catch. If you pick the 1 night option, and stay 2 nights, you’d only get 5k bonus points. If you pick the 20 nights option, and only stay 19 nights, you’d get nothing! Oh, and you can’t change your selection later…

If you know how many stays you’ll be doing, this could be quite a lucrative promotion. 100,000 points will get you one night somewhere very nice, or over a week somewhere decent. However, if you’re not sure about how many nights you’ll be doing yet, it’s annoying. Do you gamble high, and risk nothing? Pick low, and risk missing out on bonus points from later stays?

Once you’ve made your guess, head here to pick your offer and sign up. You need to sign up before you first stay, and all stays need completing by the 31st of March.
