We have previously written about the current Hilton status match offer – provide them with evidence of your elite status with another hotel chain and they will match it in Hilton HHonors.

Further, when we put this status match to the test, Hilton responded fantastically. Not only that, they then introduced a dedicated website for the staus match requests.

However, if you want to benefir from this offer you need to move quickly: requests need to be submitted prior to 11 January 2016. 

Clearly, the status level Hilton match you to (Silver, Gold or Diamond) will depend on your status with any other hotel loyalty scheme. In our example, we matched IHG Rewards Spire to HHonors Diamond.

Hilton status benefits are outlined here. While Diamond is clearly the status to be aiming for, Hilton Gold is widely recognised as one of the most generous mid-tier hotel loyalty levels out there, with guaranteed free breakfast, and lounge access/room upgrades regularly offered.

As such, if your status match with another loyalty scheme will get you to Gold or beyond, it is well worth pursuing this opportunity.
