On the subject of the partnership Norwegian commented,

We have paid close attention to InsideFlyer for a long time and value both the articles and the inputs given on the forums. Even though Norwegian Reward has seen a rapid growth the last years, we know there is still lots to do for further improvements and growth. We are therefore very pleased with this partnership and we are looking forward to strengthening Norwegian’s loyalty program, especially among frequent flyers, together with InsideFlyer“.

      Hi Ben,

I’m pleased to clarify that most certainly will not be the case. InsideFlyer has many commercial relationships of course, but none of them are contingent on providing unswervingly positive coverage or anything like that. In fact, one of the key reasons companies like to work with us is because readers trust that what our writers say is what they actually think and are interested in, not what they are told to write about.

We are very careful not to impose an Editorial line on writers as we feel that the debate that differing opinions brings is one of our real strong points and something readers value.

What the Norwegian partnership does mean is access to insider news, exclusives and lots of competitions where readers will be ab;e to win some very nice prizes. If a story isn’t interesting or a sale isn’t strong, we won’t be covering it just because Norwegian would like us too – don’t worry about that! 🙂

      Hi Ben

As a blogger on InsideFlyer UK, I can assure you that there is no pressure on us whatsoever to write good things about Norwegian. That said, as Joe notes, this partnership will give us opportunities to send some bonuses and exclusives our readers’ way.

Impartiality remains guaranteed however. If we don’t like what a company is doing, we will say so.

      Cheers

Thanks Andy! – we’ve got some very nice stuff lined up for readers (not least the return of our Advent Calendar next month!), and we’ve always found Norwegian very open and great to work with, so we’re definitely happy.
