The “Middle Eastern 3” of Qatar, Emirates and Etihad Airways come in for their share of criticism (not least from irate US airlines). Love them or hate them, there’s little doubt that they have brought a new level of affordability to luxury air travel.
Indeed, Qatar and Eithad in particular are now regularly offering long haul Business Class flights for little over the £1000 mark (not forgetting Etihad’s “£112 plus hotel reviews” First Class option*).
The latest mega sale from Qatar runs until the end of tomorrow (19 November), for travel until 30 June 2016. With long haul Business Class from £1420 (Kochi) and long haul Economy Class from £315 (Abu Dhabi), there are certainly some value tickets in there. Flights to India and Sri Lanka in Business Class are particularly stand-out value.

For all the accusations of excessive state aid, the bottom line is that flying with Qatar Airways in Business Class is a fantastic experience, while their Economy Class is largely unrivalled. With that in mind, you could do a lot worse than book one of these sale fares. In particular, if you have an India trip coming up, you are unlikely to be able to do better.
What’s more, if these destinations, timings or prices don’t necessarily appeal, you can also have a look at the ongoing Qatar Airways “buy one get one free” offer, which ends on 22 November. £2,695 for two long haul Business Class flights on Qatar is, again, worth taking a look at.
