I came across this article which may be of help to some people: http://saveecrewards.co.uk/review/where-book-train-travel-online The website itself is a great resource
Odd that it doesn't mention cashback. It's not especially lucrative, but East Midlands and Virgin Trains are on topcashback at 1% for any operator, and sometimes more for their own services.
I didn't realise there was a website that let you change advanced tickets for free. Could come in handy at some point.
If that's true about changing advance tickets then it's brilliant. I always book direct through the rail company to avoid postage costs. Postage > Cashback.
Very useful, thanks. It reminds me of the best site i found for booking train trips in Europe, seat61.com. They have a page called Europe-Train-Tickets .
I usually search 'train' on Quidco and there are usually a few UK rail firms offering around 1% flashback, sometimes a bit more if you travel with a particular operator. Watch out for some sites which offer greater cashback but impose booking fees etc.
Also, within the UK, you can book tickets for anywhere on the network with any operator and collect tickets from machines at your choice of station (thereby avoiding postage fees).
