Are there are any rewards credit cards on the market for people with a poor credit history and have a ccj?
A great question... to which I have no idea what the answer is. It almost certainly precludes Amex, so your options are instantly limited.
While I can't make recommendations, one option I am aware of is the Aqua Reward card. No airmiles etc, but you do get modest cashback of 0.5% up to a maximum of £100 per year: http://www.aquacard.co.uk/credit-cards/aqua-reward/
I'd look to try and build your credit profile first I think with cards like the one suggested. Do CCJs fall off your profile at some point after a few years maybe? Once you've got a proven track record of using a card or 2 and paying it back in full each month, I would then apply for Points/Miles cards and if declined automatically would give them a ring and ask them to reconsiders. If you can show sensible use of credit, stable income etc they might well say yes.
