The Barclaycard IHG Rewards Visa is a solid way of earning hotel points on your Visa spend, plus sign up before 31 March 2015 and you will get: 30,000 bonus points when you sign up and make any spend on the standard card. 60,000 bonus points when you sign up and make any spend on the premium card. Ongoing earnings rate is 1 point per £1 (2 points per £1 for spending in IHG hotels) on the standard card, which is doubled for the premium card.
Such a shame these are no longer around and the ones offered by Creation only offer 10k and 20k bonuses . I think the Amex Gold is probably the best alternative, although conversion straight to IHG is not possible you could go through Virgin Flying Club.
