I am no great fan of Ryanair, but I've been having a lot of success with its cheap flights tool, which really lets you nail down the cheapest of flights in a particular window. It's very easy to access - you just go to the "Fare Finder link on the ryanair.com home page, put in your starting point and travel window (I suggest keeping it wide open) and - ta da - the cheapest Ryanair flight to all destinations from that starting point will appear: So - Oslo for a fiver anyone?
Until about a year ago I was their staunchest critic. Then there was that legendary AGM, where O'Leary promised to stop "unnecessarily pissing people off". A welcome statement for me, as it seemed to be Ryanair's principal raison d'etre. Give them a go - they are definitely getting better...
As most probably are aware, Ryanair now allows you pay & choose your seat before you fly. Having spoken with a number of people who declined this offer recently I was curious as to which seat they were allocated at check in.. and guess what, all the people I spoke with ended up with middle seats.
Ryanair might not have the fanciest aircrafts in the world, their standard are actually low, but I've flown with them at least 15 times and never ever had a delay/cancelled flight or lost luggage. The issue with them is that they are now making people pay for cabin luggage which is kin of unfair.
