Ryanair will be starting 34 new routes at Frankfurt in 2018. Something for Lufthansa to be concerned about I'd guess.

Ryanair quietly introduced a Manchester->Frankfurt service in March, six days a week. Previously you had to get the Lufthansa service which cost £100 approx so it's serious competition for them. Ryanair flights cost £14.99 so why bother to spend £££ on Lufthansa?

Useful for positioning to Frankfurt. Especially if you want to try out their First Class terminal.

Daily services to Athens, Barcelona, Glasgow, Lisbon,London Stansted (twice daily), Madrid, Manchester (six weekly), Milan, Bergamo, Porto, Valencia and Venice Treviso.

Non-daily services to Agadir (2 Weekly), Barcelona Gerona (2 Weekly), Brindisi (3 Weekly), Catania (4 Weekly), Corfu (2 Weekly), Chania (2 Weekly), Gran Canaria (2 Weekly), Kefalonia (2 Weekly), Krakow (daily), Lanzarote (2 Weekly), Manchester (6 Weekly), Marseille (3 Weekly), Murcia (2 Weekly), Mykonos (2 Weekly), Perpignan (2 Weekly), Perugia (2 Weekly), Pisa (3 Weekly), Pula (2 Weekly), Rijeka (2 Weekly), Santorini (2 Weekly), Seville (3 Weekly), Tenerife (3 Weekly), Toulouse (4 Weekly) and Zadar (2 Weekly).

Hat tip to Economy Class and Beyond.

As much as I can't stand Ryanair, adding some competition on Barcelona is much appreciated.

I'm trying to switch allegiance to Star Alliance, but I'm not helped by Lufthansa's fares!

Yeah, really happy to see the Manchester route.
