IHG have launched "Where's Iggy", a snowman inspired advent calendar competition. It's available at http://adventcalendar.ihgrewardsclub.com/ and you just need to find the snowman on the city scale each day. (Make sure you scroll down to see the whole city if you have a small screen, day 1 he's near the bottom!) What's more, and isn't so well advertised, is clause 10.1 of the T&C: If you are an IHG® Rewards Club member you shall receive a bonus five hundred (500) IHG® Rewards Club points for every five (5) consecutive days you enter into the Promotion. So, as long as you remember to find the little snowman each day, that's 2,500 free IHG points, or half a points-break night!
Anyone seen credits of any 500 pts yet? I've only seen one message of congrats you've earned 500 pts and done snowman hunt everyday?
Yesterday's popup congratulating me on another 5 days said that the points would post in January. I expect they won't process them until after they've finished updating the elite (re)qualification progress bars for 2017
Yes, I'm not expecting them for a while. By the way, my 500 promo Virgin FC points were finally uploaded to my account for taking a trip on their trains back in July. A five month delay, which has to be a record for me!
Did you actually take the train journey as I think most booked some obscure journey in Scotland for just over a pound if I can remember?
I never got the pop up window about the extra bonus points even though I played every single day. Wonder if they'll show up in my IHG account.
I saw the pop-up message once in December about the bonus points, but got 2,500 dropped in a couple of weeks ago.
Shall we resuscitate this thread for December, then? Today's prize is a Citizen Gents Red Arrows Chronograph Watch 96000 points
Good old IHG IT! - and they've now made the site considerably worse when it comes to searching/booking too...
Day 2: Le Toy Van, Garage & Car Set 49000 points Still not working on my PC. Tried on my netbook again (this time using Chrome) and on the third attempt, it worked. These problems will discourage a lot of users from taking part (and hopefully give me a better chance of winning).
I can never decide which hotel company has the worst IT. I think I've narrowed it down to IHG and Accor, but it's a hotly contested field.
