    Hi all,

I'm not a frequent KLM / Air France user, hence my points is expiring (3716 miles so far) - any tips on how to use / top up to make it's max value? I am planning on a short trip to a european city around dec / jan time but I don't think there is enough points to redeem even a one way ticket at the moment, and I know I literally just missed their recent offer!

Any tips / help would be appreciated.

    Hey!
The only way i can think of is by signing up to amex gold (my ref link is below) and do a fully refundable vegas hotel booking worth £2k to get the 22,000 points + 2,000 for the £2k spend....then transferring those points on AMEX to your flying blue club. Get the refund for the hotel on expedia and do normal spending to recover the 2k negative points.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi Wing,

I've got some expiring myself soon too, but haven't found anything worth redeeming small amounts for. You might be able to find something on the shop here: https://store.flyingblue.com/?___st..._en_gb&delivery_country=GB&currency=undefined

I wouldn't recommend transferring any other Points (Amex/SPG etc) across.

Haha, nice. I think I've actually got enough for a bottle of wine - not the worst last resort option I suppose!

Airfrance have monthly redemption discounts particularly around between European cities so maybe check those out.

You can add to your miles which then means your miles experiy will be extended. You can book hotels via booking (e.g. rocketmiles) or booking transfers via Blacklane which I have done a couple of times and been very impressed with car and services in many cities. There are other earning 'partners' on the flying blue website.

I'm not sure that's helpful advice. Apparently there are cases where Amex have frozen accounts and treated this as fraudulent activity.

I'm all for getting maximum value, but pre-planning a cancellation on £2000 spend is a bit too far for me.

Thank you. I didn’t realise the website let me shop with partners too! Just bought something from Groupon so hopefully the miles deadline date will be extended then.

    Thanks again.

Well, Groupon doesn't always offer the things that you really want to do. So I would first search for the things that you want to do in Amsterdam and then look which partner website offers that item. Here you can find some fun things to do in Amsterdam:

I highly recommend Amsterdam. It's an amazing city, where you can explore and discover new things everyday
