I'm currently reading November's Business Traveller UK magazine, and in the Business Traveller Awards 2015 section, Amsterdam Schipol Airport was awarded best airport in Europe. On the page facing it was a little advert. "Thank you for voting Amsterdam Schipol best airport in Europe. Get your free stroopwafels at www.schiphol.com/thankyou" Having gone to the site, they're not kidding - you fill in your details (UK addresses only), and they'll post you some free Dutch stroopwafels! One packet per address, UK only, requests needed by the end of December. Still, tasty Dutch confectionery, not to be sniffed at
That's the second most unbelievable benefit I've discovered in the last two weeks. Will post details on the other shortly.
N.b. I didn't mean 2nd as in 'second place', just second that I'd come across in a short space of time that has blown me away. The other is probably known to many but I only recently found out about it. Details when I get a chance to upload some photos...
I am pleased to say this (somewhat random) post has also been randomly selected as the winner of 30,000 Hyatt Gold passport points! Congratulations Gagravarr - a big haul of points to go with your waffles. Send me an email to [email protected] and we'll get your prize to you.
Wonderful news, thanks Tom! Email just sent I guess that just means that the remaining mystery is what David's second unbelievable benefit is....
What's the expiry date? I ordered when I saw the thread, but I'm out of the country at the moment.... ...and did we get to the bottom of David's mystery?
The website says "Valid until 31 December 2015 and subject to availability", but the advert was repeated in the December issue of Business Traveller (page 35) so presumably there's still enough availability left! I think we're still on tenderhooks for David's mystery...
Having applied on the day of your first post, what I meant was, are they going to go mouldy on my doormat whilst I'm away. Do waffles ever go off? They go harder. I guess their Young's modulus changes. Moot point. I'm back, and they were waiting for me. Thanks for the inside scoop/stroop.
And they were all eaten by the family before I had a chance to even look at them. I suppose that's a ringing endorsement for Schiphol....somehow.
I think AMS is spying on us. I received another set of waffles yesterday. Perhaps they felt pity on me for not sampling my bounty.
