Want to cover Scotland eventually but trying to work out costs. Any advice on the cheapest way to cover majority of Scotland?
This is good on getting cheap train tickets generally https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-train-tickets/ Booking far ahead and splitting tickets can make a big difference. Also, check Amex for any cashback offers on tickets (though none showing for me). If your eligible for any railcards, you might save 1/3. I find the better offers are often on the East or West coast mainlines from London (or between cities on that line). That may just be pot luck because of when I've booked, though! Enjoy Scotland
