The Virgin cards are now useless as there is now a miles cap based on credit limit. I don't know when they notified this change.

Does anyone know if other cards have a similar restriction?

I didn't know about the Virgin limit. I've not come across limits on my IHG Premium or Hilton Barclaycard (no longer accepts applications), but could be wrong as I doubt I've hit the MS quite as hard as you! :)

Apparently it came in at the start of this year. I don't recall any notification but its definitely now in the terms and I have been limited since in my statements since then.

I didn’t realize virgin cards introduced that mileage cap, that’s very disappointing. At first glance it certainly seemed like a good alternative to AmEx but I think that cap could be a deal breaker for some.

Just ask for a limit increase after putting through mid five figs per month for six months.
