Hi there, What's the most cost effective way/routes of getting 830 BA Tier points by 8th Aug. Need this to retain gold, not travelled as much this Tier point year. Thanks in advance.
830 TPs is a lot of Tier Points. My strategy for such things is to accept the drop to Silver (briefly) but then do a crazy TP run after August 9th for 1500 TPs. That way you'd get Gold for the rest of that year and lock in re-qualification as well.
Could be worth booking a cheap Club World Europe flight to one of the 160 tier point routes (Greece, Turkey etc). Probably only possible if you have a household account and are booking several flights though
Household accounts don't let you combine Tier Points, only Avios. But yes, a few weekend getaways can often make more sense than just mileage running long distances over a weekend.
