50 AA miles on the golf game in the AAdmirals Lounges

Have any of you seen the golf games on the screens popping up in some of the AAdmirals lounges? If you play you get 50 miles regardless of the result.

I did mine in the first week of January and miles have posted this week.

 

AA seem to give away more points on the ground than in it. There have been quite a few games, quizes and promotions recently.
I've only flown AA 3 or 4 times, and yet I have about 70,000 points. Admittedly the majority came from merging my post "Grand Slam" US Airways account, but a good few thousand are from promotions and using their e-store to claim points for IHG stays.

 

And don't forget holidaycheck for AA miles on hotel reviews (not many, mind)

 

There is a limit on the number of points you can earn this way. The last time I tried to use the code it emailed to me, it told I had reached the maximum. :-(

 

Is this in the LHR T3 lounge?

Its the only AA lounge I'm ever near (that I can think of, and that I could easily pop into under OW rules).

 

Anyone had any issues with Award wallet not crediting those AA daily 5 miles for blog Posts?
They owe me 25 miles and have not posted any miles for 5 days Now!

 

Same here. But then I get a bunch of miles at once... Hard to complain too much considering they're just giving out miles...

 

Yes, same here in the end. I got 6 days worth in one go and I didn't post for a few days. Learnt now to give them a chance as they always seem to credit miles eventually.

They certainly get comments, although less than one might expect. Whether it creates a dialogue, engagement or any reason to return to a previously read post is another question...

They tend to get between 10-20 individual post replies per day per article. Would IF consider such a reward for comments on a blog Joe?

 

Not for blog comments I don't think no, but we are certainly looking at potential incentives to encourage more forum participation as it's a bit of a chicken and egg situation. I don't think we'd do Miles per post as it would time consuming to get the tech sorted properly for that, but competitions with each forum post counting as an entry, or maybe X Miles after 100 posts / 1000 posts etc... something like that.

 

Agree, the forum could do with some extra threads and posters, I would certainly be interested in growing this area on IF.

 

It took me a good 5 minutes to figure out how to start a new thread. I can only imagine most people just giving up...

 

I found how to once start a new thread on the forum but I tried recently and gave up!
Can the forum be made easier to thread please.
