Tesco Statement Coming Soon – Set Your Account Back to Vouchers

Back in May, I wrote about the opportunity to earn 1,000 free miles from Virgin Atlantic – all you needed to do was set your Tesco Clubcard account to auto-convert to Flying Club miles.

Now that July is upon us, Tesco will be preparing for its next statement run, and the last thing you want to have happen is an automatic conversion of your Clubcard points into Virgin Atlantic miles! Why?

  1. If there is no conversion bonus next quarter, you probably want to hang on to vouchers
  2. You have to be “opted out” of earning miles if you want to “opt in” to earn yet another 1,000 free miles in the future.  😉

So, assuming that you also signed up for Auto Opt-In, it’s now time to check your Virgin account for those 1,000 miles, and to set your Clubcard settings back to vouchers. You should hurry… since the next Tesco statement cycle closes starting mid-July I believe…

Hopefully the next Clubcard voucher cycle will repeat the same offer. I’ve done this so many times I must have received close to 20,000 free Virgin Atlantic miles from Tesco by now…

How about you? Did you receive your 1,000 miles?

Didnt receive the bonus, emailed them to query and was told I couldnt get it as I had already received the points last time.

I received the 1000 points yesterday so maybe the points will be there if people check again. For reference, I have received the 1000 bonus points before.

Great that it worked out. Make sure to set your account back to vouchers and hopefully a similar promo will come this cycle and you might get another 1,000 free miles.
