Eurostar have clearly decided that the best Office Christmas Party this year is one in Paris, Lille or Brussels, so are offering some group booking discounts to help that happen! Well, Christmas Parties, Christmas Markets, post-Christmas shopping sales, mid-Winter breaks, many things. All of them better with friends, somewhere that isn’t the UK!

Specifically, if you book before the 19th of November, for trips between 29th November 2017 and 28th March 2018, then for trips from London to Brussels, Lille or Paris, the flash sale will get you there for only £25 each way in a big group. That’s only 50 quid for a return, which is pretty good!

The price does depend on the size of your group though, but frankly not very much. Availability will be more the key here, but there’s still cheap deals mid-week London-to-Continent, even if not many Friday seats. For 2 people it’s £28 each, each way. For 3 people it drops to £27 person each way. For bigger groups, you get the headline fare – 4 to 9 people £25 each for a one way.

Those prices are all for standard class. If you’re rather have a bigger seat, some drinks and a bite to eat, there’s good news. In Standard Premier, Eurostar are also doing a sale! The Standard Premier pricing is 2 people for £80pp each way, 3 people for £75pp each way, and 4 to 9 people for £70pp each way.

For those wishing to go further into Belgium than just Brussels, the “Any Belgian Station” tickets (which include onward train travel anywhere in Belgium after Brussels, eg Brugges or Ghent) are seem to be £6 per person each way extra in standard, £9 per person each way in standard permier.

Personally, I can very much recommend the Christmas Market in Lille, along with the many lovely bars and restaurants in the old town of Lille (Vieux Lille – short walk from the Eurostar station). Brussels is also fun around Christmas, and Paris is fun pretty much all year round too!

Availability wise, Eurostar claim there’s 34,000 standard seats each way London-Paris, 16,000 standard seats each way London to Lille or Brussels, and 10,000 in total in Standard Premier.

So, if you were pondering a trip by train to France or Belgium before the spring, and have a few friends / colleagues / family members, get booking while the sale’s still on!
