A google search of the amex uk site doesn't bring anything Unfortunately, it appears to have been withdrawn, which is a pity as I was planning an upgrade myself. This had been an ongoing promotion for nearly 3 years.
Indeed. The good news is that I've heard rumours from various sources that Amex are offering 15,000 for upgrading if you give them a ring. Haven't tried it myself yet, but definitely worth a phone call!
Hi KB, Yep, but not good news really I'm afraid. If you happen to have an old amex charge card gold, you should be able to get 20k here: https://www.americanexpress.com/uk/benefits/upgrade/platinum-charge/index.html. Since they changed the gold to a credit card though, there isn't a bonus for upgrading that. I did personally manage to get 20k because someone in the call centre told me I would and they had to honour that. I'm certainly not the only one, but I think it's more luck than actual policy.
