Hi guys, Sorry if I'm missing something obvious. If I want to search for the term "topcashback" on the InsideFlyer website, the only results I get are the articles with the word "topcashback" in the title. Is there a way to search article contents for the phrase too? My example is looking for the competition for the 21,000 avios where you have to make a purchase through topcashback and post on the forum. If I search the website for "topcashback", the article doesn't appear.
We are working on a revamp of the way InsideFlyer is presented and its search options. You are quite right that it could be better. Here's the link... https://insideflyer.co.uk/2017/07/win-21000-avios-insideflyer-exclusive/
You can also use Google to search for results just on this website. I find this function hugely useful and better than the search functions on many websites I use (no disrespect intended to the forum admin here!) So you would type this into Google if you're searching for words or phrases in articles: "search terms" site:insideflyer.co.uk And if you wanted to search the forum only: "search terms" site:insideflyer.co.uk/forums The speech marks aren't necessary, but if you're searching for a sequence of words, it does narrow down your search results.
Yep, definitely something that could be improved! - we'll see what we can do. In the meantime, litefoot's advice is excellent as always.
It's actually very useful if you have your own website or blog, and you want to know if it appears on google
