    Does the royal mint method still work? Buying coins etc. through them? Also i heard a rumour recently that the new apple credit card may open doors for some?

    You can top up a Monese account at the Post Office using an Amex ;)

    Yeah but it's £200/month max which is pretty useless.

    Unless anyone had success getting this limit raised?

    Most banks been instructed not to accept coins even if legal tender. Lots of people got stuck with 5 figs of useless coins.
