Europcar’s rather wonderful £1 (€1 in Europe) one-way car rental option has recently reappeared. I’ve used this a few times in the past – when it works for you, it offers a fantastic way to travel at an almost unbeatably low price on a cheap Europcar rental.

What I love about this is it’s an “everyone’s a winner” arrangement. Basically, you get a car rental for next to nothing, and Europcar benefits from you re-locating their vehicles for them.

They’re entirely transparent about the whole arrangement, which is refreshing:

Who can use this?

Pretty much everyone. You basically just need to be over 18.

You’ll also benefit from a fairly generous time period of between 48 and 72 hours to return the car.
