Just a quick heads-up that for the next few days you can get 10% cashback on Qantas flights from the UK with TopCashback.
10% is a very substantial chunk of cashback for booking flights – the most you can normally find with other airlines (if anything!) is 1-3%.
As you can see, there is also a healthy 5% on offer if you want to book flights from other European countries.
I haven’t flown personally with Qantas in years, but the airline is generally well regarded in all Classes, and if I was looking for a (relatively!) quick route to Australia, I wouldn’t hesitate to pick them over British Airways.
TopCashback credit can be transferred to Avios at a rate of £1 = 1.05 Avios. Therefore, if you paid £900 for return Economy tickets from London to Sydney, you should receive £90 cashback, which could be exchanged for 9,450 Avios.
Remember that Qantas is a member of the oneworld alliance, so you could also credit the Miles you earn from flying to British Airways Executive Club too. You should earn something like 5,000-32,000 Avios from the flights, if you were heading to Sydney and back, depending on the cabin and fare bucket you book.
I would highly recommend crediting Qantas flights to Alaska Mileage Plan instead though, where you would earn between ~21,800 Miles (lowest Economy) and 54,500 Miles (Flex First Class), depending on the Class of travel. Alaska Miles are worth a lot more than Avios, on average, too.
Bottom line
10% cashback on Qantas flights from the UK is an excellent rebate.
If you don’t already have a TopCashback account, signup through our exclusive link and earn an additional 1,050 Avios when you spend £10+ with any retailer.
