By stacking a couple of offers you can currently get one-way flights between the UK and the USA for just £40.00 of Tesco Clubcard vouchers + taxes!

Deal One:

Until 22nd September, Virgin Atlantic are discounting Economy and Premium Economy award seats by 30%. This means that you can book flights to/from the UK to the East Coast of the US for just 12,250 Virgin Flying Club Miles.

The best thing about the sale is that you can book right up to the end of the current booking schedule (330 days) and there are no blackout dates –  so that includes a lot of expensive times of year (like a good chunk of next year’s school Summer Holidays).

Deal Two:

Until 16th September, Tesco Clubcard are offering a 20% bonus on transfers to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club. 

The standard transfer rate is 250 Flying Club Miles for £1.00 of Clubcard vouchers, so with the transfer bonus you’ll get 300 Miles per £1.00.

£41.00 of Clubcard vouchers would therefore transfer into 12,300 Miles – more than enough for a one-way flight!

There are taxes/surcharges to pay on top of course, so during cheap times of year this won’t necessarily be much of a deal, but when cash rates are high the saving could be massive.

Return Economy tickets with Virgin Atlantic are well over £1,000 between London and New York next summer if you pay with cash.

Award space (in all cabins) is currently wide open for next Summer, so you could either pay £1,112.45 for cash tickets, or 24,500 Miles + £223.25 taxes/surcharges.

24,500 Miles is just £82.00 of Tesco vouchers if you make a transfer while the 20% bonus is on.

Bottom Line

By stacking a couple of deal you can get Return flights to the USA for ~ £300 (£81.00 of Clubcard vouchers + £223 taxes) during peak dates and save yourself £100.00s – not bad!
