Qatar Airways is continuing its aggressive attempts to bring long haul Business Class travel to the masses by launching another impressive range of low cost Business Class flights.
You need to book by the end of 11 February (i.e. tomorrow!) for travel between 15 February and 15 June, 2016. Standout fares are plentiful, but Bangkok seems to be the standout ticket, with returns from the UK at £1680, Amsterdam at £898 and Berlin at £1090. Unusually, the ex-Scandinavian prices are (relatively) disappointing.
In addition tothe tight booking window, the slight sting is it’s a “companion offer” so you will need to book two tickets to benefit from the low prices.
Here are some of the UK headline prices (prices per two people):
While some of the Amsterdam headline prices are as follows (price per one person):
Finally, here’s Germany per person:
As you can see from the above, the real value starts outside of the UK, with Amsterdam a clearly favourable option. While everyone has their own preference, I would strongly suggest that you are getting substantially better value by taking a repositioning flight there for a sub £1000 return, than paying £1680 from London. But I fully appreciate you may disagree! Everyone’s time and convenience can be valued differently.
Of course, this isn’t just about Bangkok. There are plenty of other great value destinations included. I suggest you have a play around to see what starting points/destinations work for you, although by my findings the best deals are seemingly ex-Amsterdam and Berlin.
How do I change the country I am flying from on my booking?
While the links above should take you directly to the country in question, if they do not, you simply need to click on the country flag in the top right hand corner of the Qatar Airways website. This will then allow you to select your preferred starting point.
As a final little sweetener, if you collect them, you’ll get double Qatar Airways Qmiles on these flights. That said, as it’s Oneworld, I always collect BA Executive Club Avios and Tier Points on Qatar.
