Iggy’s Back! – Free IHG Points Coming Soon?

Everyone’s third favourite snowman*, Iggy, is back this December. You may remember that last year Iggy was full of seasonal cheer, handing out 2,500 IHG Rewards Club Points to all members and lots of other prizes too.

Last year’s version of the promo was called “Where’s Iggy” and involved finding him in a different cityscape each day to enter a prize draw. It was also possible to get 500 IHG Points for every 5 consecutive days you entered (so 2,500 Points if you participated every day).

The details of this year’s promo, “Iggy’s Snow Globe Shake Up” are currently still under wraps, but I would anticipate something similar to last year being on offer. Fingers crossed for free Points for everyone!

The promo is scheduled to go live on 1st December 2017 – register in advance here.

* Iggy’s cool, but obviously Olaf and ‘The Snowman’ are superior even if they don’t give us free Points.

On a less jolly note, is anyone else finding the new IHG website results pages extremely annoying when you search? It was so bad I actually gave up and booked with a competitor a couple of days ago!

Joe, I also had the same reaction as you to the new IHG interface. I was looking at booking a Spring weekend in Athens but I got so annoyed by the interface that I closed the window and made a booking via SPG instead.

Another huge win for those IT geniuses at IHG!

It’s dreadful isn’t it! – IHG’s loss was Marriott’s gain in my case. I really hope they sort it out – I’m not even sure that a lucrative Accelerate promo would be enough to convince me to wade through it.

Is anyone else having problems with submitting the entry form today? I’ve shaken the snowglobe, caught the date, found the price of today’s watch (96000 points), solved the captcha, but trying to submit the form gives the error “Sorry, please complete CAPTCHA request” …..
