Earn 9,000 Avios for a 3-Day Weekend Car Rental From Avis

Iberia Plus and Avis have launched another lucrative bonus Avios promotion. Between 1 May and 30 June, 2017, you can earn 9,000 Avios for renting a car (Class C or higher) from Avis over the weekend (must include a Saturday overnight).

The only rental countries that qualify for the bonus Avios are: UK, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Portugal, Switzerland, Belgium or Holland.

You need to be quite careful with the fine print, to make sure that you get the bonus Avios you are planning on:

  • You must book on avisiberia.es or avis.es. Bookings on other websites or online travel agents such as Expedia do not qualify. Avisiberia.es actually is blocked by my anti-virus program for some reason, but avis.es works fine.
  • You cannot use any other coupon, promotion or frequent flyer points offer. Don’t try for cashback, but make sure to book directly using the Iberia Plus discount codes: Iberia Plus Classic/Silver: X311400; Iberia Plus Gold/Platinum: X406800
  • Only rent cars from the standard fleet. No moving vans, Prestige cars or those with a chauffeur. Group C is almost certainly going to be the cheapest that qualifies.
  • The bonus Avios can take up to 8 weeks to appear, so do yourself a favour and take a screenshot of the promotion, just in case you need to argue with Iberia Plus later…

At the moment, I can only access the terms and conditions in Spanish, but you can keep trying to see if switching the language to English helps. Otherwise open this link in Google Chrome with its auto-translate function

It should be relatively straightforward to find a weekend car-rental below £50, making this a great way to acquire some Avios cheaply. Even better if you can take advantage of the car rental…

    Good find.

I really want to book this, but its a bit of a pain with the translation. And also at no point does it give you the option to put in the discount code, which it says you need to do.

It also says you need to present your Iberia card when picking up the car.
