We recently came to the conclusion that Hilton will be offering a double HHonors points promo pretty much for ever. I suppose the egg was therefore on our face just a touch, when Hilton upgraded this deal to triple points.

That’s how it currently remains, too – provided that you book via the Hilton HHonors app before 31 December 2016.

Given that this bonus Hilton points offer runs until the end of the year, it’s worth re-flagging the “bonus bonus”, and the steps needed to benefit:

• If you register for the current Hilton promo and book via the Hilton website, you will get double points.
• However, if you register for the current Hilton promo and book via the Hilton HHonors app, you will get triple points.

The clear warning is this: if you simply book via the app without first registering for the “double” points promotion, you will just get the ordinary number of points.

So at the very least register for the double points promo but, having done that, we strongly recommend you go the additional step of making your booking via the Hilton app, for triple rather than double Hilton points.
