We posted back in August about Hilton’s latest ‘Double Points’ promotion which runs until 31st December 2016. From today though, if you make your bookings using the Hilton HHonors App rather than the desktop website you will actually receive Triple Points instead!
If you have already registered for the Double Points offer you don’t need to do anything apart from book through the app. If you haven’t registered yet then now is a good time to do so.
What I particularly like about this offer is that there aren’t any of the usual restrictions that hotel loyalty programmes sometimes stick onto promotions. All Hilton brands and all properties are participating and there are no limits to how many Points you can earn (although you only earn bonus Points for up to two rooms per booking).
What are triple Points worth?
If you don’t have elite status with Hilton HHonors and elected to earn Points + Points (rather than Points + Miles) you would earn about 44 Points per £1.00 (35 Points per $1.00) through this promotion.
I value Hilton Points at about 0.4p each, so the promotion offers the equivalent of about a 17.5% rebate, which bearing in mind the lack of restrictions, really isn’t bad.
Bottom Line
Double Points was a fairly decent promotion and Triple Points is genuinely good. With Hilton cashback opportunities a little scarcer these days than they used to be, you’re not really missing out on too much by booking through the app and getting more bonus Points.
