Virgin trains has just added a new entertainment option, Beam, to all of its Pendolino trains. In its own understated way, Virgin describes Beam as “a spanking new onboard entertainment service – packed with big blockbusters, bigger boxsets, tons of TV, games and great reads to make your journeys even more glorious“.

To benefit from Beam, you will need to have an Apple or Android device, and you will also need it to have the Beam app, downloadable for iOS here, and Android here.

Per Virgin’s instructions, simply download the app before you board and you’ll be ready to stream the second you sit.
