https://www.thegiftcardcentre.co.uk/ accepts PayPal - so in theory, if you needed to meet a bonus target, you could purchase a storecard with Amex for use in subsequent months.
Gift cards can definitely be a good idea to bring spending forward, though Zeek tends to work out quite a bit better (can also use Paypal) as the cards are usually discounted and many of them are digital so don't have postage/transaction fees.https://www.thegiftcardcentre.co.uk/ accepts PayPal - so in theory, if you needed to meet a bonus target, you could purchase a storecard with Amex for use in subsequent months.
Isn't there easier way to make money than these somewhat petty manipulations?
No reason why it shouldn't work - assuming you can find a retailer willing to refund by a different method and you can be bothered to do it.What does everyone think of this as a possibility.
Would it be possible to purchase products from a business who are able to process Amex cards, get the card charged for say £1000 but then cancel and have the business refund you by a different method like bank transfer or cash. You can then use that money to pay off the Amex bill and still gain 1000 points (or 1500 for BA premium). The problem is i'm not sure which businesses will do this as I know you normally have the refund processed to the original payment card.
I do remember about 6 months I purchased something from Wilko with my Visa debit card but when I came to return the item my card that i originally paid with had expired and I just inserted a different debit card and they still processed the refund without questioning anything. I wonder if the same could happen using Amex to purchase and then a debit to take the refund ?
I'm new to all this but I suspect this has been asked before.
Let me know your thoughts.
Haha - from petty manipulations mighty oaks (or first class flights anyway!) can be born. But yes, you're absolutely right - it's always very important to factor the time and effort involved in things.Isn't there easier way to make money than these somewhat petty manipulations?
Well that's the entire basis of this website and forum![]()
Yeah but it's £200/month max which is pretty useless. You can top up a Monese account at the Post Office using an Amex![]()
Most banks been instructed not to accept coins even if legal tender. Lots of people got stuck with 5 figs of useless coins.Does the royal mint method still work? Buying coins etc. through them? Also i heard a rumour recently that the new apple credit card may open doors for some?
