I wrote yesterday about an Amex competition offering a variety of Wimbledon related prizes – from small goodies such as drinks bottles and umbrellas, right through to VIP finals tickets.

What may also be of interest to many, particularly given how notoriously difficult it is to get hold of Wimbledon tickets, is that American Express card holders have exclusive access to last-minute tickets on Centre Court and No. 1 Court for the Wimbledon Championships this year.

A limited number of tickets are reserved for American Express Cardmembers each day, with the tickets going on sale at 10am (UK time), 48-hours before the day of play you’ll be buying tickets for.

If you’re a Wimbledon tennis fan, this is a fantastic opportunity to bag in-demand tickets at face value. However, you’ll almost certainly need to move quickly at 10am on the dot to secure tickets.

Just remember that whatever day you buy tickets on, you will be buying for play in two days time (i.e. buy on 7 July, for play on 9 July).
