Amazon is currently running a targeted promotion where you can get a £6 promo code when you buy £50+ of gift cards. 

“Receive a £6 promotional code for a future Amazon.co.uk eligible order when you purchase at least £50 in Amazon.co.uk Gift Cards (“GCs”) in a single order on Amazon.co.uk by 31 March 2021

For qualifying purchases, a promotional code of £6 (“Promo Code”) will be automatically applied to your Amazon account and confirmed by e-mail within 48 hours after your GC order has been dispatched.”

Basically, all you have to do is buy a £50 Amazon gift card (which you can apply to your own account) and you will have the £6 bonus added to your account.

Bottom line

My Amazon account isn’t eligible this time (perhaps because I have bought Amazon gift cards and credit quite recently), but other family member accounts had the offer available on them.

If you regularly spend money with Amazon and don’t mind having £50 tied up as credit, this is effectively £6 of free money – it’s certainly worth taking 2 seconds to check whether the offer is available on your account…

Terms

• Receive a £6 promotional code for a future Amazon.co.uk eligible order when you purchase at least £50 in Amazon.co.uk Gift Cards (“GCs”) in a single order on Amazon.co.uk by 31 March 2021 (“Offer”). In order to qualify for the £6 promotional code, you must: (1) not have purchased GCs in the last 36 months and have received an invitation directly on Amazon.co.uk; (2) click the button ‘Click to register for the promotion’ to see if you’re eligible for the Offer, and if you are; (3) purchase at least £50 of GCs in a single order on Amazon.co.uk between 12 January 2021 and 31 March 2021, 11:59PM (BST). In the case of e-mail GCs scheduled in advance, the GCs need to be delivered before 31 March 2021.
• For qualifying purchases, a promotional code of £6 (“Promo Code”) will be automatically applied to your Amazon account and confirmed by e-mail within 48 hours after your GC order has been dispatched.
• The Promo Code will be applied to the Amazon.co.uk account associated with the e-mail address used to purchase the GCs, and the Promo Code is valid until 16 May 2021, 11:59PM (BST).
• One Promo Code per customer/primary e-mail address.
• The Promo Code must be redeemed on Amazon.co.uk, towards the purchase of eligible products listed on and sold by Amazon.co.uk. Promotional codes and promotional rewards cannot be used to purchase Amazon.co.uk Gift Cards, items sold by third party Sellers (including Warehouse Deals), digital products, baby and infant formula, against delivery costs, or against gift wrapping costs.
• The Promo Code may not be combined with any other promotional offer.
• Amazon reserves the right to modify or cancel the Offer at any time.
