It is no secret that Flybe has been facing serious financial challenges for some time and it’s unlikely that the recent impact of COVID-19 has helped improve matters.

Peter Smith, the Scotland Correspondent for ITV News, has just posted the following tweets, which seem to indicate that Flybe might be ceasing operations this evening:

It hasn’t been possible to get official confirmation yet of what the situation is, but I imagine things will be a lot clearer once this evening’s flights have all landed…
