Travel hackers have been somewhat spoiled by the Virgin Atlantic / Tesco Clubcard relationship. Although Tesco Clubcard is moving away from the quarterly statement routine, the last few years have seen a number of opportunities to convert Tesco vouchers into Virgin Atlantic miles and receive a conversion bonus. It has also been straightforward to receive 1,000 free miles for signing up to “auto convert”.
It appears however that this quarter we won’t see much from Tesco Clubcard apart from a prize draw. By turning your Clubcard points into Flying Club miles between 1 February and 30 April 2019, you will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win one of 10 prizes of 100,000 miles.
You can find the full T&Cs of the promotion by clicking here.
Perhaps most importantly, it appears that Clubcard members can only enter the draw once, but there is no minimum conversion requirement. In other words, it doesn’t matter if you convert £2.50 or £250 in vouchers, you would still receive one entry to the prize draw.
Even though we prefer conversion bonuses and free miles, somebody does have to win these prize draws. So why not an InsideFlyer reader???
