Hilton Honors Brings Back Double Points Promotion for May to August

After disappointing many big spenders with its January to April promotion, Hilton Honors has decided to return to its simple “Double Points” promotion.

The promotion will run from 1 May until 31 August, 2018. As always, only base points are doubled, meaning that members will earn an additional 10 points per US dollar spent pre-tax.

Even though the new status bonuses don’t have any impact on this bonus promotion, it’s worth reminding readers that you now earn:

I use a simple 0.5 US cent valuation for an Honors point, which means that a Gold member earns a 9% rebate and a Diamond member earns 10%.

This Double Points promotion works out to an additional 5% of rebate. As always, don’t forget to visit the Avios e-store to earn some Hilton “cashback”.

Registration will be required in order to participate. However, Hilton Honors representatives on Flyertalk announced the promotion without having the promotion’s landing page ready. So, check back with InsideFlyer UK – we’ll update this post with the proper link once available…

That said, since we’ve already seen details of the next promotions from IHG, Marriott / SPG, etc. it’s nice to know what Hilton will be offering – many of us will be planning our summer stays based on the relative attractiveness of the various promotions.

Does this promotion interest you? Or do you prefer the ones that are more conducive to travel hacking?
