There are currently some great fares from all over the UK to Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok etc. You can fly with Air China from about £280, or with Emirates for a little bit more.
The cheapest flights are from London to Hong Kong, but there are plenty of options sub £350.
Dates look good from January through to April.
I usually use Skyscanner to look up fares like these. It’s not completely perfect, but the ability to search from all UK airports and see the best prices for an entire month at the same time is great! It’s certainly a good place to start, and then maybe check Kayak or other sites to make sure you’re getting the very cheapest prices.
I would say so – anything under £300 Return from the UK to Asia certainly gets my attention.
Air China might not be your first choice, but it actually seems fine. There’s a fairly detailed review here, and it really doesn’t seem substantially better or worse than most long-haul Economy cabins. Alternatively, you can pay a bit more and fly Emirates from regional airports.
If you’re already dreading the post-Christmas blues, a good-value flight to the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong, or to defrost in South East Asia could be just the tonic you’re looking for!
