We have previously pointed out how you can use your Emirates Skywards miles for tickets to football matches: including games at Arsenal, Real Madrid, PSG and the English FA Cup.

Emirates sponsorship of sports also extends to the French Open tennis tournament. As a result, you can currently “buy” tickets to the French Open this May/June for as little as 7,000 Emirates Skywards miles.

Tickets are available at the following prices:

• 22-26 May, 28 May: 7000 miles (40,000 for VIP tickets)
• 27 May to 2 June (save for 28 May): 15,000 miles (65,000 VIP)
• 3 June: 20,000 miles (70,000 VIP)
• 4 June: 25,000 miles (80,000 VIP)
• 5 June: 30,000 miles (90,000 VIP)

Tickets are of course subject to availability, and the lower end tickets in particular seem to be very limited in availability.

There is basically no information on what exactly the “VIP” ticket is. While I would expect you to be getting a decent bang for your Skywards buck (Emirates are 5 year sponsors of the French Open, and my experience with their football ticket suggests their hospitality packages are generally pretty lavish), I can’t say that with any great certainty.
