It may have seemed like ‘Virgin America Elevate’ season here at InsideFlyerUK recently, but with good reason! You can use Elevate Miles for some incredible value redemptions on partner airlines like Virgin Atlantic and Singapore Airlines.

Add in the ability to buy Elevate Miles for a great price via the current SPG Starpoints sale, and a couple of free Miles offers, and you can see why we keep banging on!

The Deal

For the last month or so it has been possible to get 2,750 Elevate Miles completely free, but both offers end soon so if you haven’t taken advantage yet, now is the time!

The first offer is for 250 free Miles just for entering this Virgin America competition. Offer ends May 27th, 2016

The second offer is for 2,500 free Miles simply by signing up here and referring 4 friends/family members (500 for signing up, and 500 for each referral). Offer ends May 31, 2016

Completing both only takes (literally) a few minutes, so it’s well worth doing!

…or Virgin Atlantic Upper Class!

Virgin America Elevate Miles are worth at least 1.5p each (2.2 cents) if you redeem them for travel on Virgin America flights.

Most people reading this though are likely to be using them for partner redemptions, where you can actually get substantially better value!

Putting an exact value on Miles used for partner redemptions is impossible, because it is so subjective (it completely depends on which specific partner and route you want to book, the time of year, whether there a sale on, whether you would actually pay cash rates for Business/First Class etc), so we’ll stick with a minimum value of 1.5p per Mile.

2,750 Miles are therefore worth at least £41.25!

Personally, I value them at nearly double that, but I don’t think anyone can seriously argue they are worth less than 1.5p?

I’ve just been emailed by Elevate customer services to tell me they’ve added the 250 Hawaii miles (after emailing them about it last week).

Pleased to have them but not so pleased that I’ve had to chase up every points offer that I’ve claimed…
