Hilton Honors has launched a surprise promotion that offers double elite night credits. The promotion will run between 11 October – 31 December, 2022.

2022 Elite Status Requirements

Hilton Honors has already made it rather easy to earn elite status in 2022. You require:

• Diamond status – 42 nights, 21 stays or 84,000 base points
• Gold status – 28 nights, 14 stays or 52,500 base points
• Silver status – 7 nights, 3 stays or 17,500 base points

HOWEVER, ALL nights you accumulated in 2021 rolled over to 2022. (for the avoidance of doubt, stays and base points never roll over)

Does a Double Elite Night Promotion Help Much?

The main benefit will accrue to those who have not yet met the requirements for Gold or Diamond status in 2022.

Milestone Benefits

After you’ve stayed 30 nights in 2022 – not counting any rollover nights from 2021 – you’ll earn 10,000 Bonus Points every 10 nights.  This promotion will help you earn Milestone Benefits in half the time.

Rollover Nights

Once you reach 42 nights stayed in 2022 – again, rollover nights from 2021 are irrelevant – Diamond members will pick up rollover nights to kick start your 2023 qualification.

Bottom Line

Because my rollover nights from 2021 locked in my Diamond requalification early, I don’t have any need for more elite night credits – even when doubled.  And I am too far away from 30/42 nights to make Milestone Benefits / Rollover Nights relevant to me.

But if you haven’t yet reached Gold or Diamond status, this promotion is just what you need as you make that final push this autumn…
