Some Marriott Bonvoy members have received a pleasant surprise recently. Those with Suite Night Awards due to expire on 30th June 2022 should see that they have been extended until 31st December 2022…

12 Suite Night Awards?

Like many Marriott Bonvoy members, I’ve lost track of the source of these Suite Night Awards. 5 of them were surely the result of accumulating 50 nights in 2021 – and choosing them as my 50-night Choice Benefit.

But the 7 that were due to expire last week have been found in my account throughout the pandemic. I’ve actually stayed fairly regularly at Marriott hotels for the last couple of years, so the problem isn’t the fact that I couldn’t travel, but simply that SNAs didn’t clear – even in the midst of a pandemic!

Bottom Line

Perhaps some Marriott Bonvoy members will be happy to see this extension. Others, like me, will just yawn – knowing that these life-extended Suite Night Awards are still likely to expire unused…
