The Taiwanese airline EVA Air will launch new flights to Milan and Munich later this year. EVA Air’s current European destinations are Amsterdam, London, Paris and Vienna.

EVA Air to Milan and Munich

EVA Air has announced that it will add non stop flights from Taipei to two new destinations – Milan and Munich. From 25th October 2022, EVA Air will operate twice weekly flights between Taipei and Milan. From November 3rd this year, flights will operate between Taipei and Munich four times a week. You can already book the flights online if you wish to do so.

Both destinations will be served with a Boeing 777-300ER. EVA Air currently has 32 of these large aircraft and they make up the bulk of its long-haul fleet. Both flights depart from Milan and Munich around 11:00 AM and arrive in Taipei the following morning. Return flights from Taipei depart late at night and arrive the following morning in both Milan and Munich.

About EVA Air

EVA Air is Taiwan’s second largest airline and boasts impressive Business Class facilities. Food and drink are widely considered to be excellent, with Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame champagne (which retails for £120+ per bottle) on offer. It’s very rare to see a Business Class service offering vintage champagne, so cheers to that!

The Airline is hoping that the expanded network in Europe will offer travellers more options to fly comfortably to Taiwan, as well as connect through to other destinations in the region.

As a Star Alliance member (rather than Oneworld), unfortunately you won’t be able to use Avios to book award flights with EVA, but if you happen to have some United or Lufthansa Miles (for example), it’s well worth checking out.
