Etihad Guest is currently offering a 25% discount on award redemptions between Abu Dhabi and a number of cites – including London and Manchester.

The offer details are as follows:

• Economy & Business Class included.  
• Redemptions eligible for travel on Etihad Airways operated flights to:
  • Abu Dhabi to/from Seoul
  • Abu Dhabi to/from London

  • Abu Dhabi to/from Manchester

Availability looks good on the routes and dates I checked. For example, there are multiple flight options (and multiple seats) in Business Class every day from Abu Dhabi to London throughout October:

With the 25% discount, flights between London/Manchester and Abu Dhabi require 47,201 Etihad Miles in Business Class one way.

Taxes/fees from Abu Dhabi are about £150 one way, or £317-£343 from the UK one way.

For comparison, British Airways Executive Club charges 50,000-60,000 Avios + £374 one way in Business Class from London to Abu Dhabi.

Bottom line

Etihad has a very decent Business Class product and it’s always good to see award prices being discounted.

Etihad Guest is a 1:1 transfer partner from American Express Membership Rewards, so it’s relatively easy to get your hands on Etihad Miles. According to the terms, transfers can take up to 5 working days, but in my experience, it’s more like 48 hours in reality.
