Aegean is currently offering 50% discounts on flights to celebrate its 20th birthday – but there isn’t much time left to book!
The sale is on until tomorrow (04/06/2019) and you can travel from 01/11/2019 until 28/03/2020, on flights operated by AEGEAN and Olympic Air. Both one way and return flights are included.
According to the terms, pretty much all flights are included:
-
Direct and connecting flights from/to Greek airports to all international destinations.
-
Direct and connecting flights from/to all international destinations to Greek airports.
-
Connecting flights from/to international destinations, through Greek airports, to international destinations.
-
Direct flights from/to Larnaka to Tel Aviv.
Note that the discounted fares come up automatically, you don’t need to add a code or anything like that.
The fares available really are very good, for example London to Athens one way for £42.32:
Flex fares are available for £61.32 and include a checked bag weighing up to 23 kg, as well free unlimited ticket changes (apart from fare difference).
Fares in the other direction are very similar – the cheapest I saw were ~£44 (48.99 Euros).
Aegean still provides a complimentary hot meal and drinks on international flights and you can earn miles (Aegean is a member of Star Alliance), so it’s definitely a step up from the low cost carriers!

LHR T2 Air Canada lounge for champagne breakfast plus Agean in economy beats BA Galleries First and BA’s poor economy service hands down every time. I’d typically pay significantly more to fly Agean than BA. Also: during the summer months Agean flies from Edinburgh and unlike some Star providers at Edinburgh [Turkish and SAS for example] offers fast track access if Star Gold or business. Having said that: the Turkish third party lounge at EDI is the new No.1 lounge as opposed to Aspire.

It’s a great little airline. My favourite regional European carrier. Usually there’s little point in paying up for Biz class for intra-EU (unless you’re on a mileage run) but Aegean often have great wine selection and nice food. I’ve successfully bid 50EUR in the past for upgrades on 3-hour flights. Just be aware that this won’t give you extra miles, unlike on many other airlines.
