Radisson Rewards (the loyalty programme for hotel brands like Radisson Blu, Park Plaza, Park Inn, etc) has just launched its new global promotion for the Summer. Between 27th May and 31st August, members can receive 3,000 bonus points per night, starting with their second stay.

Good deal?

We generally value Radisson Points at about 0.3p each, so 3,000 is a rebate of ~£9 per night. You can get considerably more value from your points in some circumstances though, as Joe explained here.

The good thing about this promotion is that the bonus is per night, rather than per stay. The bad thing is that the bonus only kicks in on your second stay.  If you’ve got a very long stay at an eligible hotel coming up, it may even be worth booking a cheap 1-night stay somewhere else first, so that you don’t miss out on the bonus points.

It’s also worth pointing out that the bonus only applies to paid stays (not points, or points+cash) and that there is a cap of 120,000 bonus points – equivalent to 40 nights with Radisson during the eligible period.

Conclusion

This promotion isn’t enough to get me to switch bookings to Radisson, but if you would be staying anyway then it’s definitely a nice little extra.

To be eligible for the Promotion, you must: (i) Be a Radisson Rewards member; (ii) Register for the Promotion prior to check-out of your first eligible stay; and (iii) Provide your Radisson Rewards member number when reservation is made, at check-in or prior to check-out of your Eligible Stay; (iv) Member must complete one eligible stay to qualify to begin earning 3,000 bonus points per night.

Eligible Members will earn 3,000 bonus points per night consumed during the Promotion Period after completing their first eligible stay. Eligible Members will earn bonus points per night consumed at Participating Properties during the Promotion Period, not to exceed 120,000 bonus points.

In addition to the Bonus Points earned for consumed stays during the Promotion Period, an Eligible Member will earn the standard 20 points issued per U.S. Dollar spent as well as their eligible tier bonus points (Silver: additional 2 points per U.S. Dollar; Gold: additional 5 points per U.S. Dollar; Platinum: additional 15 points per U.S. Dollar). If a member also books an exclusive member rate with bonus point earning potential the Eligible Member will also earn those bonus points. Points are typically posted to a member’s account within 5 days after the qualifying Eligible Stay has been completed.

Free Award Night redemption stays, Points + Cash redemption stays, and non-point eligible stays such as stays booked via OTA providers are not eligible to qualify a member or to earn points during this promotion.

Members only need to register once. Only one Radisson Rewards account may earn points for an Eligible Stay. Individual accounts only. Registration period is May 20, 2019 through August 31, 2019.

Bonus points will be credited to the member’s account throughout the Promotion Period when the standard points are credited for any eligible night consumed following the Eligible Member’s first qualifying stay. Bonus Points earned for this offer during the Promotion Period will be capped at 120,000 bonus points per eligible member.
