German blog YHBU flagged some superb Oman Air Business Class deals last night from Paris and Milan to various destinations in Asia. Note that you have to book by Sunday (26th August 2018) to take advantage.
The deals
Valid for outbound travel from 24th August 2018 to 10th December 2018. I couldn’t get the lowest prices to show up using Skyscanner etc when I looked last night – you have to go to the sale page on the Oman Air site here and book direct.
Oman Air Business Class from Paris:
Bangkok: 1,121 Euro
- Chennai: 1,149 Euro
- Delhi: 1,065 Euro
- Manila: 1,245 Euro
From Milan
- Bengaluru: 1,345 Euro
- Dubai: 952 Euro
- Salalah 1,391 Euro

You can credit Oman Air flights to Etihad Guest or Oman Air’s own ‘Sindbad’ programme. These deals book into ‘R Class, which earns 150% of flown miles with either programme, so you’d end up with about 18,500 Miles for Paris – Bangkok return. Remember that Etihad Guest allows family members to pool Miles into a household account.
Conclusion
Oman Air Business Class looks very good (whether it’s the new or the old product) and gets consistently good reviews. These fares might not quite hit the dizzy heights of some the Qatar ones we’ve seen in the past, but are still very good – particularly to Bangkok.

The same deal, or similar (but slightly more expensive) deals have been appearing on a regular basis from the same airports (Milan and Paris), a.o. during last weekend. Oman Air has a more predictable offering than Qatar Airways used to have, which is not so surprising considering the limited number of destinations in Europe. Booking conditions are fairly good as well (200 EUR fee for changes, 300 EUR fee for refund or no show).
